Core Keeper has defensive items which are known as Armor Sets. Now, there is not just a single Core Keeper armor set, you can go through dozens of them. Armor will protect you from damage at times when the threats are high. If you are currently not equipping any armor set then it’s time to get one for yourself.
The thing is you should pick the best one. Since there are many armor sets out there, it can be a little time-consuming task to check out every single set. So, we have made it easier. There is a complete list of best armors based on the stats. You can go through it and pick the one that best suits your needs.
Picking up the right armor based on your current in-game character level is an essential part. You will definitely have to visit some spots where threats are high, this is where armor will prove to be your best friend.
Armor Sets in Core Keeper
Armor sets in Core Keeper are made from three different items and those are helm, chest, and pants. Each one of these is important to achieve the full defense stat of the corresponding set. Completing a set may give you a bonus defense stat.
If you are just starting your journey in Core Keeper then you are all set with the basic armor sets. And as you make progress, go for the advanced armor sets. Progressing in your journey takes you to explore some of the places where you cannot survive without a proper armor set.
In the game, there are over 50 different armor sets. Not all of them are good enough to use throughout the game. There are just a few that can prove to be the best ones. So, instead of trying out every single one. Try to focus on the ones we have listed below.
10. Galaxite Armor
This is one of the best ones in the game. Galaxite Core Keeper Armor offers a decent defense. Aside from boosting your defense, completing the set will give you a bonus of 12.7% damage when you are in full health.
The max stats this armor set can give you are as follows:
- +119-164 Max Health
- +64-88 Armor
- +52-66% Critical Hit Damage
Now, coming to its obtaining method. You can get this only by crafting with the required crafting materials. Here’s what you need: 84x Galaxite Bar, 30x Octarine Bar, and 12x Strolly Poly Plate. When you have collected all of the materials, just head to the Galaxite Anvile and craft your armor set.
These materials are required to craft the entire set. Gathering all of these items would definitely take a bit extra time. But you don’t have to worry since the materials above are obtained by either looting or crafting.
Bonus tip: Go for the looting method, especially try to explore places full of chests. There are many locations where chests are hidden, they can get you a good amount of these materials.
9. Hydra Bone Armor
This is another great armor set. Just like the Galaxite, Hydra also has bonus stats plus it gives some additional stats that help during intense fights. The set is based on 3 pieces and each one holds a certain amount of defense and other stats.
So, it’s essential to equip the full set. Here are the max stats this armor provides:
- +157-171 Max Health
- +71-83 Armor
- +12% Chance to stun targets on melee hit
- +5% Critical hit chance
- +12.2-13.5% Physical melee damage
- +7.2-7.9% Melee and range attack speed
Upon completion of the set, you will get a bonus of +20% chance on melee hits to increase range damage by 30%.
Now, this armor set can be obtained by looting as a drop. It gets dropped by Druidra the Wild Titan, Crydra the Ice Titan, and Pyrdra the Fire Titan. Since there is no option for crafting this set it can be a bit difficult for some players.
Each of the armor pieces in this set is dropped by a different boss. So, you know if it’s coming from a boss then it would definitely be a powerful set that’s worth trying out. You will experience its power when fighting with tough bosses.
8. Scarab Armor
The Scarab Armor set is a better version of the previous armor sets. It gives you better defense stats based on the health armor and additional thorn damage. Plus, it gives you a bonus for completing the set. The bonus is actually the thorn damage which gets added to your melee and range damage.
Here are the max stats that come with Scarab Armor:
- +128-163 Max Health
- +71-89 Armor
- +86-109 Thorns Damage
If you are planning to get this armor set then you should find the Ra-Akar the Sand Titan. It will drop this armor set. Surprisingly, all three pieces will be dropped by the same boss. The chance of getting each one of the pieces is 25% which is in my opinion quite decent. Although, the boss itself is pretty strong, so make sure you go fully prepared.
Meet the boss Ra-Akar in the Desert of the Beginnings. But, before you go there, make sure you have powered up the Core. That’s how the boss becomes available for the battle. Each time you defeat him, you will have a 25% chance of getting each piece from this armor set.
Bonus tip: Ra-Akar is summoned in its arena using Thumper. Without having a Thumper you cannot summon him. So, stack up your inventory with the same number of Thumper which can be used to summon him. This would save you time.
7. Hazmat Armor
We have another perfect armor that is called the Hazmat Armor. This one is also based on the three pieces. It gives a lot better overall defense stats. Also, the bonus is quite different from others. Instead of boosting any stat, it makes you immune to radioactive damage.
Hazmat Armor is perfect when you are exploring an area that has a radioactive environment. You can safely explore that area when you have equipped Hazmat Armor.
Here are the stats of this armor set:
- +140-166 Max Health
- +72-87 Armor
- +50.2-58.8% Physical melee damage
Coming to its obtaining method. This set cannot be looted or crafted, instead, you can only purchase it from Brave Merchant. There is a little secret to make him appear. All you have to do is place the Nuclear Battery in a valid house.
Once he appears, you can purchase all three pieces from him. Each armor piece is available individually, costing you a total of 10,950 Ancient Coins. This means all you need to do is gather a lot of money and simply purchase the entire set.
6. Solarite Armor
The next up is Solarite Armor. It’s a heavy-duty armor set that is capable of absorbing a high amount of damage. Best for situations where you have higher chances of getting lots of damage from a threat.
Aside from just the basic health and armor stats, it gives you additional attacking stats. So, you should definitely look out for Solarite Armor. Plus it gives an additional +23.6% damage when you are at max health.
Here are the stats of Solarite Armor:
- +139-165 Max Health
- +73-87 Armor
- +14-16% Crit hit damage
- +15-19 Life on melee hit
- +7.8-9% Melee and Range attack speed
- +7-8% Critical hit chance
Now, the obtaining of this Core Keeper armor is only possible through crafting. You will need to get the following items: 100x Solarite Bar, 33x Gold Bar, and 18x Strolly Poly Plate. After getting these materials, craft the armor set at Solarite Anvil.
Since that’s the only possible way, you may have to put in some extra effort to gather enough materials. Only then you can get your hands on it.
Bonus tip: The best and fastest way to get all the materials is through looting the chests. Explore the spots where the chances of finding the relevant chests are high.
5. Core Commander Armor
Core Commander Armor is a high-end set that comes with additional stats making it super durable and powerful during intense situations. Each of the armor set’s pieces gives bonus attacking stats which is extremely helpful.
The best thing is this armor set offers two additional bonuses on equipping the complete set. The first bonus is +25% of damage dealt by you and all the allies around you. The second is all the nearby enemies will receive 67 radioactive damage each second.
Here are the full stats of this set:
- +149-167 Max Health
- +75-86 Armor
- +24-26.4% Melee and Range attack speed
- +12.9-14.3% Damage
- +8% Critical Hit chance
- +20-22% Critical Hit damage
This set can only be obtained from Core Commander as a drop loot. He is definitely not a beginner-level boss, rather you will meet after getting to the final story of the game. So, for those of you who have made it to the end, it’s time to get this mighty set.
Bonus tip: The initial summon of Core Commander can only happen with a Crytal Meteorite. Upon defeating him, the rest of the summoning requires using a Core Commander Summoning Idol.
4. Sulfossil Armor
We have another strong armor set, this has quite a different bonus stat. Sulfossil Armor includes the three pieces and each one of them is important. It gives two bonuses for completing the set.
If you are looking to deal explosive damage then this armor is definitely for you. With a two-piece set, it can greatly boost your overall ability to deal explosive damage. And if you have managed to get all three pieces then you are also getting an additional buff, allowing you to deal extra damage to all nearby enemies when you are receiving hits.
Here are its full stats when it is maxed out:
- +151-161 Max Health
- +84-90 Armor
- +41-43.1% Damage
Urschleim is the boss you are going to hunt down for this armor. All three pieces are dropped by the same boss with a decent amount of chance. The spot where you can begin a battle with him is situated in the Passage.
3. Paladin Armor
The Paladin Armor set offers a bit different variety of stats, it is more towards the critical and dodge chance than just dealing the damage. Also, it does provide great armor to the wearer. Although, there is no bonus on this set.
Planning your fighting strategies around dodge and critical hits is quite helpful. Especially, when you are dealing with fast-moving targets. That’s where Paladin armor shows its full potential.
Here are the full stats of Paladin Armor:
- +86-130 Armor
- +16-22% Dodge Chance
- +17-22% Critical hit chance
If you are looking forward to getting this set then you have two different ways. The first one is looting from Golden Ancient Chest and Locked Galaxite Chest. The second method is loot from a drop of Large Temple Crate.
2. Cosmos Armor
Cosmos Armor is the second-best in Core Keeper. Like most of the other armors, it provides the additional stats. Moreover, the stats are way better than others making it the second-best. Plus, it gives a bonus stat on that makes you immune to burning.
Cosmos armor is designed for dealing mining damage and protecting the wearer from burn effects. That burning immunity doesn’t even require the full set, a two-piece set would be enough to access it.
Here are the full stats of Cosmor Armor:
- +143-169 Max Health
- +87-105 Armor
- +29.5-34.5% Damage
- +194-262 Mining Damage
Now, it can be obtained in three different ways. The first way is to get it from Challenge Arena as a reward. The second way is to get it as loot from the Locked Solatire Chest. The last way is getting it as a drop from Large Alien Tech Destructible.
The best method so far is finding it in Alien Tech Chest and if you don’t know how you can get that chest then don’t worry. This specific chest is dropped as a reward when you win in Challenge Arena. Also, if you head to Shimmering Frontier, chances are that you find one of these.
1. Magma Armor
Magma Armor stands in first place on our list. This is a super-powerful armor set in the entire game. You can see the set has a physical appearance like its a volcanic thing. And surprisingly, the name also suggests that it has something to do with the fire.
That’s right! Magma Armor is uniquely built around the fire stats. First off it has the ability to apply the burn damage as soon as it lands a hit on target. Secondly, it will protect you from fire effects. Equipping this set makes you fully protected from general damage as well as fire damage.
Here are the full stats:
- +135-161 Max Health
- +94-112 Armor
- +90-102 Burn Damage applied to target on hit
You can get this set as a drop from Ingenous the Molten Mass. It is one of the most powerful slime-type boss that you will face in the game. Defeat him in his arena and you will have a chance to obtain each piece from the entire set.
So, these are all the best Core Keeper armor sets. Take your time and learn about these sets and get the one that you think is perfect for you.
