She invites you to stop by her chateau if you want her to take things to the next level. After unlocking the quest, go to Tamala and speak with her at her chateau to begin the first of three trials designed to test your worthiness as her romantic partner. The First Test – Catching a Bat Ray Now that you have gotten closer to Tamala, she has a few tasks she wishes you to complete to prove your feelings to her. She will tell you that the first test will be on perseverance and that you need to catch a Bat Ray. To prove your love, Tamala has requested you procure her a hard-to-catch specimen – a rare fish that tests your determination and patience. Players can find the Bat Ray fish inside the caves at any time of the day. Bat Rays can be fished in caves at any time whilst using a worm as bait.  Bat Ray locations include any cave or water body in Kilima Valley or Bahari Bay. Equip your fishing rod, attach worm bait to improve catch rates, cast into cave ponds consistently, remain patient as Bat Rays are uncommon catches, and collect the Bat Ray when you successfully catch one. After catching the Bat Ray, return to Tamala and show her your successful catch. However, she’ll have an unexpected reaction to your hard-earned gift. The Test of Resourcefulness – Catching a Leafstalker Mantis Tamala now challenges you to demonstrate resourcefulness by catching one of the rarest mantises in the game – the elusive Leafstalker Mantis. Both of these types are spawned in the northern areas of Bahari Bay, including the Flooded Steps, Proudhorn Pass, The Outskirts, the Thorny Thicket, and the Statue Garden. There is a chance of finding a Leafstalker Mantis by foraging for one. Although it is rare, they can also occasionally be found on the ground anywhere Sweet Leaves and Dari Cloves are found. However, they can be difficult to spot among the leaves and grass due to their dark green color.  After catching a Leafstalker Mantis, go back to Tamala and speak to her. However, her reaction to this rare specimen might not be what you expect. The Test of Bravery – Finding a Silverwing Egg Tamala’s next test for you is procuring a silverwing egg, found only in nests at the greatest of heights. Is she trying to date you or kill you? For the final task, Tamala will tell you to find and retrieve a Silverwing Egg. An area will then pop up on your map showing the general location where the Silverwing nest can be found in Proudhorn Pass. You will be required to collect a special type of flowers that Asura’s wife used to like and bring them to her remembrance site. Gathering Five Sundrop Lilies For the A Bouquet of Sunshine quest, five are needed to create a proper bouquet worthy of Sabine’s memory. The most productive areas include Chapaa Crossing, Reflection Fields, and the area to the west of Remembrance Garden. These locations consistently yield multiple Sundrop Lilies within close proximity. You can also find a lot of Sundrop Lilies in the Leafhopper Hills area, particularly just west of the region where an open area contains various kinds of flowers. Locating Sabine’s Grave After collecting the flowers, you must head to the Remembrance Garden and find Sabine’s grave, which serves as the final resting place where Ashura honors his late wife’s memory. Sabine’s Grave is located in the Remembrance Garden, located on the southwest side of the map, just south of Kilima Village center. Go up the staircase to reach the remembrance site. Sabine’s grave marker is located very close to the central altar. It is located right in front of the altar in the center of the location. Look for a small incense bowl to the left when standing in front of the altar and facing away from it. You can easily distinguish it from the smoke from the incense rising from the memorial bowl. Placing the Bouquet Players can interact with Sabine’s shrine to drop the Sundrop Lilies at her remembrance site. Stepping closer to the grave, you will see the drop flowers option appear. Approach Sabine’s grave marker with your five Sundrop Lilies, interact with the memorial site when the prompt appears, select the option to place the flowers, and watch the touching scene as the bouquet is laid in Sabine’s honor. After you place the bouquet, the quest objective updates, directing you to return to Ashura with news of your completed tribute. So, basically you recieve a letter from Zeki and he seems to be a bit disturbed due to his dream. He wants you to help him find its meaning.  All you need to do is visit multiple villagers and try to get the meaning of each piece that Zeki has seen in his dream. And finally, you have to collect kind messages from different villagers for Zeki and assemble them in the Candy Box to surprise him.  How to Solve the A New Year to Remember Quest in Palia Receiving Zeki’s Distress Letter After finishing the Wishes in the Wind quest, wait for the next mail cycle. You’ll receive a letter from Zeki stating that “something real fishy” is happening and he needs help with some troubling dreams he’s been experiencing. Approach Zeki at the market and listen as he explains the “something real fishy” that’s been troubling him – a series of recurring dreams that he can’t understand. Zeki will tell you that in his dream, the stars started exploding, he had to jump over boiling lava, and then a windstorm kicked up a bunch of wet papers that got stuck on him. After he extensively explains these “weird dreams” he’s been having, three key details emerge that can provide meaning into what’s troubling Zeki. The three dream elements: Zeki is at a loss about what his dream means and says that you can ask around on his behalf to see what it might mean. Consulting Villagers About Dream Meanings Ask the villagers at the Market to interpret the dream. Gathering the Required Ingredients Collect all the necessary ingredients for macaron preparation. The Palia Mystery Cargo quest gets you to reveal a secret about Zeki. But in order to reveal it, you will need to visit Reth in his store room and open a mysterious box. The quest involves obtaining a key first through fishing, and then getting a letter from the locked box.  Mystery Cargo is a Discovery Quest given by Reth after completing the quest Piece of Cake. This quest focuses on uncovering the contents of a mysterious locked box in Reth’s storeroom, leading to discoveries about the Underground Market’s operations and the complex relationships between its operators. Find the key to the box and discover what secrets lie within Zeki’s carefully guarded cargo in this fascinating quest about trust, secrets, and black market dealings. If you have been eagerly waiting to finish this quest, then follow this guide.  How to Complete Mystery Cargo Quest in Palia Meeting Reth Once you have reached the required friendship levels and completed the Piece of Cake quest, speak to Reth once again, and you should get a few dialogue options to choose from. Now, you have to select “What’s in that locked box?” Once you do that, a pop-up will appear indicating the Mystery Cargo quest has begun. Starting the conversation: The box in question is on one of the tables off to the right side of the room and will have a shimmer around it. Asking Reth about it, he states that Zeki threw the key “where no man can survive.” Reth will tell you that Zeki has thrown the key where “no man can survive”. This hint leads to water, which means the key is somewhere in the water of Kilima Valley. The cryptic clue suggests an aquatic location rather than a dangerous combat area. Fishing for the Small Key Now, you have to find the key to satisfy your curiosity! The key can be found in any water in the Kilima Village while you are randomly fishing.  However, it’s recommended to fish in the river behind the tavern to increase your chances of finding it sooner rather than later. This specific location yields the highest success rate for catching the Small Key. Whilst the river behind the tavern offers the best chances, you can technically fish the key from any spot that has water in Kilima Village if you prefer exploring different fishing spots. Opening the Mysterious Box & Reading the Mysterious Letter Once you have got your hands on the small key that looks like it would fit the box in Zeki’s storeroom, you can return to the Underground Market and locate the mysterious box that Reth pointed out earlier. Accessing the box: As you open the box, there will be a letter that tells some secrets about Zeki.  While you will receive a pop-up explaining that you won’t steal the letter, you will still be able to read the letter. This allows you to learn the contents whilst respecting property boundaries. The letter reveals information about Underground Market operations, connections, and possibly sensitive details about Zeki’s business dealings that provide context for the secretive nature of the cargo. Confronting Zeki About the Letter Ask Zeki about the letter. Talk to Zeki to complete the quest and discuss what you’ve discovered in the mysterious box. Final conversation: Approach Zeki and initiate dialogue about the letter you found. His response provides closure to the mystery, whilst potentially affecting your relationship and understanding of Underground Market dynamics. The Palia Keyed In quest delivers one of the game’s most suspenseful hidden mysteries, transforming a routine gardening session into a race against time to defuse what turns out to be an explosive magical device.  Here is another day of gardening and tilling leads players to uncover a mysterious object that may go “Kablooey” in the Keyed In quest for Palia. This Found Item Quest initiates unexpectedly when you are busy with your normal gardening activities on your housing plot. All of a sudden, you found something strange and are not sure what it is, so you are heading to the community and ask villagers if they know anything about it.  This specific quest is quite similar to many of the other discovery quests in Palia, such as A Century in the Making and It Must Flow. If you have solved these quests before, then completing this quest won’t be a problem at all. With that being said, let’s jump in!! How to Complete Palia Keyed in Quest Discovering the Pulsing Key You can find the Pulsing Key while gardening in Palia to begin the Keyed In quest, a key step in avoiding an explosive end. The discovery happens during routine gardening activities on your personal plot. Finding the Pulsing Key: All you have to do to find it is use your Hoe on your Housing Plot. Sooner or later, you will unearth the Pulsing Key. The key appears as a random drop whilst tilling soil, similar to other buried treasures you might discover during farming. She serves as the village’s primary expert on ancient artifacts and mysterious objects. This shocking discovery transforms what seemed like a simple mystery into an urgent crisis. Learning About Your Plot’s Previous Owner To disarm it, you’ll need to learn more about who previously lived on your land. Jina explains that the bomb’s defusal requires specific knowledge about Florian, the eccentric inventor who once occupied your housing plot. You can spend your time talking to all the residents of Kilima Village, but the three you want to speak to are Elouisa, Eshe, and Ashura. Through your conversations with the above specific village elders, you’ll discover that Florian’s pet was named One-Eyed Sheremy – a distinctive name that reflects the cat’s unique appearance. Defusing the Flow Bomb Speak to Jina again, and she’ll tell you that to defuse the key’s magic, you’ll need the name of Florentine’s pet. Return to Jina with the information you’ve gathered about Florian’s beloved Palcat. Tell her that Florentine’s Palcat name was One-Eyed Sheremy, and the key will be safely defused. Jina uses this information to perform the magical defusal ritual, eliminating the explosive threat. She’ll thank you and decide to keep the key permanently, so it doesn’t cause any future problems.
