Nintendo Switch 2 Breaks Sales Records in Just 4 Days
Nintendo Switch 2 just made a new record with its sales in 4 days. It has now become one of the fastest-selling consoles released by Nintendo. The company has made it official that they sold over 3.5 million units in just four days. This happened between June 5 and June 8. The sales basically include all of the versions that have been sold around the world. Even the region-locked versions sold in Japan were counted in this record. In comparison to the original Switch, there is a huge difference in sales. The OG made it to sell 2.7 million units in its first month back in 2017. And now with the Switch 2 broke the record already, Nintendo is aiming to sell 15 million Switch 2 units by March 2026. Why So Many People Bought It Mario Kart World bundle played a huge role in this record. This is one of the biggest reasons for a strong start, fans we excited to get the brand new Mario Kart game right out of the box, and it definitely helped in boosting sales. Nintendo also mentioned that the hardware upgrade in Switch 2 also made a significant impact on the sales. The new hardware made the console even more popular, and the fans really wanted to try out the best performance. The newly released Switch 2 is much more powerful than the original one. Players can enjoy 4K resolution games when the console is docked, and when played on handheld, it brings out that crisp 1080p resolution. Strong Lineup of Games at Launch Nintendo has already killed it with some of the top-notch games at the launch. Some of the titles include: Mario Kart World, The Legend of Zelda: The Tears of the Kingdom, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and Resident Evil 4 Remake. But that’s not all, more games are on the way too. In July, Nintendo will be releasing Donkey Kong Bananza and Super Mario Party Jamboree. Also, there will be an upgraded version of Kirby and the Forgotten Land in the coming months. Additionally, the most awaited Pokemon Legends: Z-A is expected to be released in October.
